I’ve created a sticky post in the development site I’m working on and it is not showing at the top of the archive/category page. Here is the category page where you can see the post is at the bottom:

    http://deadwoodchronicles.com/site/deadwood-news/
Post Name: “HBO confirms that ‘Deadwood’ will get the big screen treatment
    deadwood movie”
    Post Date: 09 January 2016

The sticky will work on the main blog page but I don’t want to use that page on this site but I’ve turned it on show you it is working on the blog: http://deadwoodchronicles.com/site/news/

    Any suggestions?

Update: I’ve gone live with the site. The new urls are:

    http://deadwoodchronicles.com/deadwood-news/
Post Name: “HBO confirms that ‘Deadwood’ will get the big screen treatment
    deadwood movie”
    Post Date: 09 January 2016

    Hey Trishah,

I think the sticky function only works on the “front/home page” blog loops.

I see a plugin here that might work for you. I just tested it and it works!

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/category-sticky-post/

It adds the class of .category-sticky so you’ll need to write some CSS for that for it to “stand out” if you want.

    Hope this helps!

Duh. I should have thought to look for that. At least we have an answer here for posterity ;D

And that plugin works great. Thank you!
