    Hey Nick,

Good to hear from you man. 🙂 I sometimes think this theme has gone the way of the dinosaurs and then I get a message!

Your bootstrap-shortcodes plugin is loading a second copy of bootstrap.js in your header, while the theme is loading a version as well in the footer.

So ya got two of them there, fighting to the death.

I think you are using the plugin from the link I sent so here is what you do:

    1. Cruise to wp-admin
    2. Go to Settings
    3. Go to BS Shortcodes
    4. Uncheck the box “Load Twitter Bootstrap javascript file”
    5. Save Changes

    That should do it.

    I have indeed.

I am using it on this site right now. I think your issue is most likely with TinyMCE Advanced not showing the buttons.

The good news is you don’t actually need the button to use the plugin. All it does is show you the markup for the [shortcodes] it uses. Do this simple test to see if it works.

    Put this in a post

    [bs_button size="lg" type="success" value="Test" href=""]

if you see the button on the Published post.. it worked! If not.. back to the drawing board.

The caveat with some of these plugins is the ability to toggle “double loading” of Bootstrap assets. The plugin I use here has the option in Settings -> BS Shortcodes. Just uncheck the top two boxes and you shouldn’t experience any weirdness.

    Good luck!

    Hey Nick,

It sounds like you are trying to use bootstrap markup in the WordPress editor? Yea, WordPress is going to strip out some stuff there.

The solution is to use one of the available bootstrap3 shortcode plugins.

    I like this one https://wordpress.org/plugins/bootstrap-shortcodes/

If you are trying to do something else… please give me some more details.

    Try this one…

It looks like they had a REALLY hacked together image rotator that displayed different stuff on single() pages and category() pages.

They also had a ton of garbage JS below that was “controlling” this thing.

    Hey Mgarza,

You can download previous versions of any theme or plugin from the WordPress.org repo.

Here is the link to 1.50

    https://downloads.wordpress.org/theme/devdmbootstrap3.1.50.zip

    Good luck!

    Hey Trishah,

Yea the SSL Cert expired for a while and I didn’t have the cash to put it back up right away. Things are better now. 🙂

As for the “always” mobile BS3 menu…

Looks like this thread does a pretty good job of explaining it. Just include the CSS in your theme.

You have a lot going on here. I’m not even sure where to start.

The theme by design will not interfere with ANYTHING that it looks like you are doing. You might get with Trisha on here she has figured out some one page stuff that might interest you.

    Hey Trishah,

I think the sticky function only works on the “front/home page” blog loops.

I see a plugin here that might work for you. I just tested it and it works!

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/category-sticky-post/

It adds the class of .category-sticky so you’ll need to write some CSS for that for it to “stand out” if you want.

    Hope this helps!

It will be around for a while I’m sure Robelia.

I’m working on DevDmBootstrap4 to support the new version of bootstrap and solve some of the problems we have been having with this one. So stay tuned. 🙂

    Hey Robelia,

I would duplicate template-part-head.php inside your child theme and rename it to template-part-frontpagehead.php

In the top of that file change the container to container-fluid:

    <div class="container dmbs-container"> ->> <div class="container-fluid dmbs-container">

Then inside your template file (the code you posted) replace this:

    <?php get_template_part('template-part', 'head'); ?>

    with this

    <?php get_template_part('template-part', 'frontpagehead'); ?>

Now any page you assign to use that template file will have full widths because they are pulling the special modified template-part-frontpagehead.php that has the container set to container-fluid.

    Hope this helps.

    Hey Oliver,

You can change that image in the customizer under “Header Display Options”

    Header Style Options

It is the Main Menu Brand Image section.

Doing this from the menu is pretty impossible without some serious custom programming.

I would recommend using a widget like any of those that pop up when you Google:

    select multiple categories wordpress widget

You can accomplish your goal with the widget way or maybe “re-think” your strategy a bit.

Sorry I can’t be more helpful. This is one of those, “well you could do this, this or this.. but only if you are doing this this and this in this way…” types of questions. Just a lot of variables here. 🙂

Okay add this to the bottom of the “dmbs_swatcher_dequeue_enqueue_scripts” function.

So that entire function looks like this.
